Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Convention is coming back to Vancouver September 26–28, 2025 at the Westin Bayshore. Fans from all over the world will gather for panels, photo ops, autographs, and unforgettable moments with cast members like Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins.
If you’re making the trip, you’ve probably already mapped out your convention schedule. But what about your free time in the city? Vancouver has plenty to offer, and there are ways to keep the Supernatural spirit alive even after the con floor closes.
Here are some fan-approved ideas to make the most of your weekend.
1. Walk in Sam & Dean’s Footsteps on the Supernatural Tour
One of the highlights for any fan visiting Vancouver is seeing the real filming locations from Supernatural. On the 90-minute guided Supernatural Tour through Gastown, you’ll:
Visit iconic spots you’ll recognize instantly from the series.
Hear behind-the-scenes stories from filming days.
Connect with fellow fans who are just as excited as you are.
The tour runs year-round, but during convention weekend you’ll often find yourself sharing the experience with other con-goers — swapping stories, comparing photo ops, and geeking out together..
2. Explore Historic Gastown
Since the tour takes place in Gastown, you’ll also get to enjoy the neighborhood itself:
Snap a photo at the Steam Clock (yep, it’s been in the show).
Wander cobblestone streets that feel straight out of an SPN chase scene.
Stop in at local pubs and cafés — perfect for grabbing a bite with other fans.
3. Recharge Along the Seawall
Con days can be intense — panels all morning, karaoke at night, and everything in between. If you need a breather, the Vancouver Seawall is just minutes away. It’s a scenic waterfront path with views of the mountains and ocean, and a great way to reset before diving back into fandom chaos.
4. Where to Eat Near the Convention
Between autographs, panels, and tours, you’ll need to fuel up. Vancouver has tons of great spots, especially around Gastown and near the convention hotel. Here are a few that fans will love:
The Flying Pig (Gastown) – Cozy comfort food. Think hearty dishes Dean would 100% approve of.
MeeT in Gastown – Plant-based comfort food that even Sam might drag Dean to. Big portions, casual vibe.
Steamworks Brewery – A lively pub near the water. Burgers, pints, and plenty of space for groups of fans to gather.
Tacofino Taco Bar – Famous for tacos and margaritas. Laid-back and perfect if you’re heading to a late-night panel or tour.
Nuba (Gastown) – Lebanese food with fresh, shareable dishes.
Pro tip: if you’re planning to do the Supernatural Tour in the evening, grab dinner in Gastown beforehand. It’s all within walking distance of the tour starting point.
5. Discover Other Filming Locations Around Vancouver
Vancouver isn’t called “Hollywood North” for nothing — countless shows and movies have filmed here. If you want to keep exploring beyond Supernatural, here are a few spots you can check out on your own:
Queen Elizabeth Park – featured in The X-Files and other CW shows.
Vancouver Art Gallery – used as a backdrop in Arrow and Supergirl.
Stanley Park – familiar setting in Once Upon a Time and many Vancouver-based shoots.
Downtown alleys – instantly recognizable to anyone who loves SPN’s darker, moodier episodes.
And if you’d rather go deeper than a self-guided stroll, you can join one of Storyboard’s other film and TV walking tours:
Hollywood North Tour – See where blockbusters like Deadpool and The Night Agent were filmed, while also exploring some of Vancouver’s most iconic neighborhoods.
Haunting of Vancouver Tour – A spooky night walk mixing local ghost stories with filming locations from horror and thriller productions.
Superheroes in TV Tour – Perfect for DC fans, with stops at spots from The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, and more.
Each one is led by guides who work in the film industry, so you’ll get fun behind-the-scenes stories and trivia while standing right where your favorite scenes were shot.
Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Convention is already an unforgettable experience, but Vancouver itself is part of the story. From walking the filming sites on the Supernatural Tour, to exploring Gastown’s cobblestone streets, to checking out other filming landmarks across the city, you’ll leave with memories that go way beyond the autograph table.
